Seashore Stampers - February Blog Hop

Hello my fabulous followers, sweet stampers and precious lurkers,

Welcome to the Seashore Stampers monthly blog hop. Since St. Patrick's Day is only a few weeks away, our theme this month is something green. While I could have created a random green card, I decided to create one for St Patrick's Day. Without any shamrock punches or dies in sight, I had to get creative.

I made this card for my daughter, using the ridiculously fabulous, double-sided Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (145564), paired with Tranquil Tide Cardstock (144246). The shamrock was made using the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies (145653). I simply made 3 hearts with the small narrow heart die and cut the stalk freehand. The greeting comes from our Teeny Tiny Wishes set (127802) - with 24 different greetings, in a variety of fonts, it is one of the best values in our catalogue. And they all fit into my go-to punch, the Classic Label punch (141491). To create the Tranquil Tide sides next to my greeting, I punched a piece out, cut it and adhered it to the back. The coins were punched out of Gold Foil Sheets (132622) with the 1/2" Circle Punch (119869).

Hello talented stampers, dedicated followers, and my much loved random lurkers,

I am ridiculously excited to announce I have been selected as an On Stage Display Board Artist. It is an honour to have been chosen. This means I am one of the very first people in the world to create with these never before seen products from the upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

As to the contents of this box, I am sworn to secrecy and have signed a blood oath (aka, a confidentiality agreement.) My work will be displayed at April's On Stage (Red Deer.) After that weekend, I will post it all right here, so stay tuned.

Seashore Stampers Janurary Blog Hop

Welcome to the Seashore Stampers monthly blog hop. With Valentine's Day looming, this month we are featuring an appropriate card or 3D item.

Valentine's Day is easy for those in happy relationships. You can surprise your honey with a hand made card, a box of chocolates, a dinner, a night out, etc. For those who are alone, it can be an especially challenging day. When you're your making cards, I encourage you to think of someone who might otherwise be forgotten this Valentine's Day. One of my neighbours, who has been on her own for a few years, will be receiving a card and an invitation to go for coffee from me. Let's spread the love! 

I chose to make a simple card...actually cards. My inspiration came from 3 left over kits from my recent Open House. Often, after classes or other such events, I'm left with these kits. They invariably wind up stuffed away and forgotten. This year I was determined to make good use of them. So, one night while binge watching old "Bones" episodes, I made these cards.

My kits consisted of the following: 4 1/4" X 11 & 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" pieces of the berry best, Berry Burst (#144243); 5" x 3 3/4 " & 4" x3" pieces of Whisper White (#100730); and 2 x 2" pieces of Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon (#145489.) This ribbon has quickly become one of my all time favourites. With its gorgeous metallic silver edges, it kicks the cards up a notch without the need of any further embellishments.

In order to create my featured card, along with one of my left over kits, I used the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set (#140643) and the Berry Burst Ink (#144083) from the Annual Catalogue. The background was stamped as well. Pretty simple. If you need more information, please contact me.
