Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the Stamping-with-Friends Blog Hop!
This month we feature all things, March. I chose to celebrate "Take a Walk in the Park Day," which happens on March 30th. All of us have had a crazy year! Many have faced curfews and lock downs. Spring is finally upon us and what better time to dust off those walking shoes and get walking, in a park (whilst following local health guidelines.)
Here, on Vancouver Island, we're now able to access parks relatively freely. I am blessed to be surrounded by them, several within walking distance. There is something so incredibly grounding about a walk in nature. So on March 30th, find a park, a little patch of green and take a walk.
The parks that surround me were my inspiration for this card.
I used the Rooted in Nature, Snow Front and High Tide Stamp Sets. The stunning watercolour background, which I slaved over (or not), is a actually piece of Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper. The sun is a piece of the same paper. The card base is from Seaside Spray Cardstock. The background trees were stamped in my Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad and the birds were done with my Basic Grey Classic Stampin' Pad. The die cut tree was coloured with Shaded Spruce and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers. The tree was attached with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
Since I love this card so much, I decided not to put on a sentiment. Also, I don't think we actually have a "Take a Walk in the Park Day" stamp. 😁
