Hello all,
Welcome back to my blog. This week's card was created for a #simplestamping challenge. We could only use stamps, inks, paper and DSP (Designer Series Paper). No punches, ribbons, embellishments and definitely no turning to my beloved Cut & Emboss Machine.
I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set and, using Memento Ink, stamped directly onto the Dandy Garden DSP. Using the same DSP but a different pattern, I put a 1/2" x 5" strip to add visual interest. The card base is Bumblebee Cardstock.
This stamp actually has two butterflies on it. Since the Memento Ink pad is small and due to the shape of the stamp. it's really easy to just apply ink to the large butterfly. Stamp the pad onto the stamp rather than the stamp onto the pad. Just angle it to avoid the small butterfly.
When you're just starting out your supplies are often limited. The #simplestamping challenge is there to help encourage beginners and give them examples of how easy it can be.
