Happy New Year and Welcome Back

Welcome back!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you a very Happy New Year! I'm back from my time off and ready to party...but by only with my immediate household, for now.

For Christmas, instead of my brother's family, my family and a collection of orphans, our celebration was limited to our family of four. We still had turkey with all the trimmings and I did my usual Christmas baking. We exchanged gifts with friends and family - in drop and dash or masked situations. So in many ways, we were able to keep a lot of our traditions. I really missed midnight mass and spending the time with my people. But everything was a bit calmer and, in a way, less stressful.

I made this sampler for a presentation to illustrate the features and benefits of the Trimming the Town Suite (which includes the Coming Home stamp set.) Sadly this set will not be returning next year. If you want it, order it by January 4th.

Since I used a variety of different stamp sets and dies, I will only be providing the basic measurements for the sampler and skip the details for each square. If you have any questions on what I used, just message me.

Start your sampler with a 12" x 12" of Whisper White Cardstock. Your centre  background is a 4 3/4" square, the 2nd coloured layer is 4 1/2" and the white piece is 4 1/4". For the little squares, you'll need 12 of each. I recommend making a couple extra white pieces in case you need them. The background pieces are 2 1/2" squares, the 2nd coloured layer is 2 1/4" with the white pieces are 2". I used the Layering Squares Dies

For assembly, the Multipurpose Liquid Glue is your friend. It gives you that moment to readjust if things aren't quite straight. Start with the large centre square. It should be 3 5/8" from each side. If you like, you can make marks lightly with a pencil and erase them later. The small squares are 7/8" away from the outside edges. I did the 4 corner ones first.

Stamp and create your images on all the white squares. I usually start with the large one and design the rest around that. Attach your white squares to the 2nd colour. Finally attach these pieces to the background pieces. To add dimension, I used our Dimensionals. They are a little less forgiving the liquid glue, but can be readjusted or replaced with our Take Your Pick tool (the mini spatula piece.)

As a reminder, our lovely Holiday/Christmas Catalogue expires January 4th. The good news is there is a delightful Mini Catalogue which starts January 5th...also the day Sale-A-Bration starts. For every 60 purchase, you get to choose an item for free from the special Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.

For all your paper crafting needs, my store is here. My current Host Code can be found to the right, under the image of the catalogue. Please be sure to use it on all orders under 200. If your order is around to 100 mark, join! You'll get to choose 165 worth of product for only 135 and during Sale-A-Bration, you get a special gift. Feel free to message me if you would like more info.

See you next Saturday.

Cheers,

Adrienne
