Seashore Stampers Monthly Blog Hop - Canada Day!

Hello wonderful stampers, fabulous followers, and my beloved lurkers,

Happy almost Canada Day! There are so many unique reasons to love this country. We have beaver tails (not to worry - they are a vegan friendly pastry and no beavers were harmed.) We have real maple syrup (that comes from real maple trees.) We have more lakes than the rest of the world combined (this can also be a curse - pesky mosquitoes) and the longest coastline in the world. We have less people in our entire country than the Greater Tokyo area. Also, we have the Raptors!

I never used to make Canada Day cards, let alone hold a class where we made 4 cards celebrating our wonderful country. When Canada had it's 150th birthday, a couple years back, we went all out. There were flags, there were parties, and there were cards. I think we could learn to be a little more exuberant about our country from our friends south of the border. So, this year, despite it being only our 152nd birthday, I'm going all out again. While I can't host a class this Canada Day,* I'm decorating our home with banners and flags. And, even better, I made this!

When I saw this new truck set in the catalogue I was delighted - it made me feel very nostalgic. I grew up on the prairies, where everyone and their dog had a pick-up. Even I owned a 3/4 ton at one point in my life, with an extended bumper and dual gas tanks to boot. However, it was a hideous harvest gold so we won't be recreating that puppy any time soon.

This truck was created from the new Ride With Me bundle. A full list of supplies (excluding equipment and adhesive) along with a link to my store will be at the end of this post. I will give you the full directions (or maybe even a video) next month. (Right now things are a little crazy.)

*After years of hobbling around, apparently on a partially dislocated hip (bone on bone), I have joined the bionic crew. That's right - I'm got a new hip! All this happened Tuesday, June 18th. Since I'm "young and healthy" (their words, not mine) it was booked as day surgery. Regardless, there will need to be a wee bit of downtime for healing.

Since my honey's cancer treatment will finally be completed, my next class is already teed up for August 11th. We'll be doing a Seashore themed classes. Space is limited so please register early to avoid disappointment. We'll make 4 cards and all your supplies are provided (including coffee, tea and snacks.) Let's have an afternoon to relax, catch up and play.

My shop is here. On orders under 200, be sure to use the current host code on the right (below the image of the catalogue.)  If your order is nearing the 135 mark, join my team to score 165 worth of product, shipping included, for the same price and get 20-25% off your future purchases. Contact me for more details or if you have any questions.

Until next time.

Cheers,
Adrienne
