Seashore Stampers New Year's Blog Hop

Happy New Year! Bonne Année!

Welcome 2017 - may this year be filled with love, good health, happiness, and peace. And lots of  card making, of course.

To celebrate to the new year, I created a couple cards with one of my favourite sets from the upcoming Occasions Catalogue.

And on that note, only FOUR more sleeps until the release of the amazing 2017 Occasions Catalogue. For those of you who are Stampin' Up savvy, you know what this means... (drum roll please) ... SALE-A-BRATION!!!

Here is how it works. Score a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue for every sixty dollars you spend (before tax and s&h) between January 4 and March 31. This is a fabulous chance to grow your Stampin' collection or join the business. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

With the exception of the wee wooden heart embellishment (from the Sending Love Suite) and the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper,  everything is from the Falling in Love Suite.  I nicknamed the cards "Celebration" and "All wrapped up."

Wishing all the best in the coming year and always,
Adrienne

Seashore Stamper November Blog Hop

Quick and Easy Christmas Cards

Hello everyone,

This month's blog-hop is dedicated to quick and easy Christmas cards. One of my favourite super fast and easy cards is the"present card." It's simplicity makes it perfect for last minute cards.

1). Stamp your card base, in the bottom right, with your Christmas greeting. My favourite card base in the heavy white cardstock. The Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set is perfectly named! I used "Comfort & Joy."

2). Either use a scrap of your favourite DSP or cut about a  3" x 3" piece out, depending on the size and shape of present you want. Rather than using a specific Christmas one, I went with the striped Real Red from the Brights DSP Stack.

3). Cut a piece of a coordinating ribbon just long enough to wrap over the edges of the DSP scrap piece, lengthwise. Using regular tape, tape the ribbon to the back of the scrap DSP, lengthwise.

The new In Colour Ribbons have quickly become my favourite. In this example, I used Emerald Envy. They are fabulous for bows because they don't show fold marks (meaning you can try again if you don't get it right the first time.)

4). Adhere the DSP "present" to the cardstock. You can use the tape runner or the dimensionals. Make a simple bow with the ribbon and attach it to the top of your present with a glue dot or two.

If you have the time and inclination, it's easy to step-up this card up by adding a couple layers and embellishments. I chose to add an extra layer of Emerald Envy behind the present to make it stand out more.

Remember, this week we have some incredible items on sale during our Online Extravaganza. And on Monday, November 28th, there is a one day special. Here is a link to  My Shop.

Enjoy the Blog Hop and thank you so much for making the time to stop by today.

Cheers,
Adrienne

Happy Thanksgiving to all my lovely American followers!
