NEW Hostess Set

Hello all,

Today I would like to introduce one of our fabulous new Hostess Sets, New Wonders. Contact me to book your party or place your order!

Using the same design, I created cards for several different levels of stamper: the beginner stamper; the casual stamper; and the avid stamper. (L to R in the photo.) The cards are 3"x3", so your base layer will measure 3" x 6". Score at 3" and fold. I used one of the amazing new In-Colors, Seaside Spray, which is quickly becoming a favourite. All supplies, other than equipment and adhesives, will be listed at the end of the post.

To duplicate this card, as a beginner stamper, you only need cardstock, ink, snail adhesive and the stamp set. Both stamps were attached to one acrylic block at the same time. (Test them on a piece of scrap first just to make sure they're lined up nicely.) After cutting, scoring, and folding your base (see the paragraph above the photo) from the Seaside Spray cardstock, trim a piece of Whisper White down to 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". Stamp the image with the Seaside Spray Stampin' Pad. Remember to be gentle. If getting the image lined up is a challenge, stamp it on a larger piece of cardstock and trim it down afterwards. Using the Snail, attach your stamped image onto the cardstock.

The casual stamper adds the In Color Designer Series Paper, cut a 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" piece, the Classic Label Punch and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to the mix. Punch out the greeting and snip the ends off. The piece underneath the greeting was cut out with a paper trimmer.  It measures 1 3/16" x 3/8". After attaching the greeting to the little Seaside Spray piece, attach it to the stamped image using your dimensionals. (Tip - if it's hard to line up the small greeting, use the Multi-purpose glue as it gives you a chance to adjust it.)

And finally, the avid stamper will need the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, the Fine Tip Glue Pen, some Pearl Basic Jewels and the banner die from the Smooth Sailing Dies. I used the Wink of Stella on her hair, wings, skirt and the little hearts. To add additional dimension I put Precision Glue on her wings and the little hearts. Be careful with the Precision Glue, it takes a while to dry thoroughly. Optional: colour the not-so-basic pearls, with the light Seaside Stampin' Blends. I love me some coloured pearls!
