Meet the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper

Welcome back to my blog. 

This week my new phone arrived. My old one was getting a little glitchy and wasn't holding a charge. Of course, a new phone means a new case. I always go for clear ones so I can feature one of our lovely Designer Series Papers (DSP) and advertise my business at the same time. I used the lovely new Butterfly Bijou DSP. The hardest part of this project was deciding which sheet of paper to use.

To make your own phone case liner, measure the back of your phone. Cut a piece of DSP to that size. Depending on the brand of case, you may need to trim off a little bit more from the length a/o width to get it to fit. Using the phone case as a stencil, draw out any holes or cut outs you need. Make sure the phone case and DSP are both facing the same direction (good side out or good side down) when you do this. After you've cut everything out, erase any pencil marks. On my old phone, I had to fussy cut out an oval for the rear facing camera. With this one I was able to use one of our Layering Squares Dies - woo hoo! Since I don't plan on using the finger print feature, I didn't punch that area out. Once you have the size down, use a corner rounder, the Detailed Trio Punch, on all the corners. #thatwaseasy

I then added my business info. I did this in Google Docs. If this is the first time you're doing it, there may be some trial and error so print it on plain computer paper first. Once it's the right size and format, do it on your Basic White Cardstock. I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut it out.
