Seashore Stampers April Blog Hop

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Seashore Stampers monthly blog hop. This month we are featuring Mother's Day or feminine cards.

I created this card for a swap and wasn't planning on featuring it on this blog. But as I stamped the sentiment, over and over again, it made me think of my Mum. She was an amazing woman who did SO much. It was all the little things she did that made such a big difference, so here we are.

This card was created with the lovely new Pansy Petals Suite. From all the sets I was able to get during the preorder, it is my absolutely favourite. I've made about half a dozen different creations and love the set more each time I use it.

While this is a fun fold, the base it still the standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". I used one of the lovely new "In Colors," Pale Papaya. You score at 2", 3 1/8", 5 3/8" & 6 1/2". Burnish the inner most scores inwards, towards the centre and the outer scores towards the edge. This will create a step or platform in the middle. When my friend, Sue showed me this fold, she called it a picnic bench card. I like that so I'm sticking with it. :)

Trim DSP for the middle measuring 2" x 5 1/4". Next trim two pieces of a different but coordinating DSP for the side panels. They'll be 1 3/4" x 5 1/4". Cut a 2" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White for the back (to write your message.) You'll also need a scrap of Pale Papaya (at least 3 3/4" x 2 1/2") for the Stitched So Sweetly die and a white rectangle measuring 1 3/8" x 2 1/2" for the sentiment.

On the little white rectangle stamp your greeting in Gorgeous Grape. Stamp your solid pansy in Fresh Freesia (another new "In Color") and stamp the detailed one in Gorgeous Grape. The "face" is also Gorgeous Grape and the centre is Daffodil Delight.

Run the pansy and the Pale Papaya through through the Cut & Emboss Machine. With your Sprigs Punch, punch out 3 vellum sprigs.

Using your favourite adhesive, I prefer Multipurpose Liquid Glue, attach the DSP to the card face (the piece that sticks out) and the sides. Attach the large white rectangle to the back. With Mini Glue Dots, attach the springs. I put 1 on the top half and 2 on the bottom, slightly off centre. Glue your sentiment piece to the Pale Papaya die cut and then glue this to the front of the card. Attach the pansy with Stampin' Dimensionals. And finally, decorate with 3 flowers from the Loose Flower Flourishes. The Mini Glue Dots are great for this.

I still have some copies of the New Annual Catalogue. They are be available for pick up in the Greater Victoria Area.

On orders under 200, please use the current host code, found under the image of the catalogue (to the right of this post.) If your order is around the 100 mark, consider becoming a member of this fabulous card sisterhood! (Although we have a few brothers too.)

Follow me on  Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. If you need any premade items, my new website is here. There you can see some examples of what I have for sale. Custom orders are always welcome.
