Dear Friends,
Welcome to The Seashore Stampers March Blog Hop, dedicated to all things Easter. To me, Easter has always been a time of hope, joy and renewal. This year, for a very personal reason, it will mean even more.
These past few weeks have been seriously challenging. My sweetie was diagnosed with an incredibly rare tumor in very dangerous location. First we were told it was inoperable. Next we found ourselves talking to specialized surgeons, on the mainland. They wanted us back in 5 days for a complicated operation which was supposed to take 8 hours. The surgery wound up lasting 14 hours. Two days later he was unexpectedly back in the OR for another 6 hours. Next came the days in the Neurological ICU - a very intense and scary place, where they provided incredible care. Now he's in the Neurological Sciences ward and we're working toward heading home, to our beloved Vancouver Island, where he can finish recovering at home.
Stampin' Up! has always been an amazing family. During this crisis, my fellow demonstrators and customers have rallied around me. Those close to me have offered up rides, food, visits and so much more. Demonstrators all over the world have been praying for us. Doing a blog this month was really the last thing on my mind. But for me it a way to thank my Stampin' Up! family.
Given my circumstances, and lack of supplies in my hotel room, my card this month is a repeat and not specifically an Easter card in its current incarnation. However, all you need to do is change the greeting at it will be a lovely Easter card. All the details can be found on my January 28th post.
Life is precious.
Wishing you all a Happy and Blessed Easter.
Adrienne
Beautiful card and I think so appropriate for Easter. Your personal story is very heartfelt. You'll be home soon.
