Hello to my wonderful followers, incredible stampers, and random lurkers,
Thank you so much for coming to visit our monthly Blog Hop. This month, we prepare for Thanksgiving and Halloween. Since mine is grown and gone, Halloween isn't a really big deal to me anymore. However, I will never ever outgrow Thanksgiving. The name says it all. It's a day dedicated to giving thanks... to showing our gratitude for all we have.
Personally, I like to express my thanks frequently. Life is precious and there may not be a tomorrow or next time. I believe in living a life of gratitude and being grateful for all the blessings I have in my life. Even if it's not perfect, I need to appreciate what I have now.
I am grateful for my family and friends and their unconditional love and support. I am grateful for being born in Canada - living in a country where we have healthcare, diversity and democracy. People can rant about politics in the graffiti strewn alleyways of Toronto, and do it on public TV. I am grateful for my health albeit a work in progress. And I am very grateful to Stampin' Up for giving me the opportunity to meet so many incredible people by sharing what I love to do, with you.
I feel the "Painted Harvest" bundle is an amazing set to use for Thanksgiving and gratitude, year round. This was the very first card I made with this set. I stepped way out of my comfort zone with these colours. Since I feel full of thanks, I have called this card, "Thankful."(It's a bit lame. I think my imagination might be tired.)
My supplies, other than tools and adhesives, are listed below. Besides fussy cutting the sunflower, my card is quite easy. If you want the recipe, drop me a line.
Make sure to check back early next week for some CRAZY, EXCITING NEWS and October's Host Code. Congratulations to Cathy for being the lucky winner in September's Host code draw!
Check out Bruni's, Mi Ran's, and Erica's blogs as well.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Until next time,
Adrienne
