Coffee Gift Card Holder

This week I'm going to show you a fun card I designed as a thank you for a friend. The cool thing about this card is that there is a spot to put a gift card inside and it's super easy to make. You can do this with almost any card you create.

This card used Brew Some Fun & Nothings Better Than Stamp Sets and the Love You More Than Dies.

The standard (5 1/2" x 8 1/2") base is from Pool Party Cardstock with an Early Espresso Cardstock layer measuring 3 7/8" x 5 1/8". Cut a piece of Pattern Party DSP to 3 3/4" x 5". The strip on the inside is 5/8" x 3 1/4". The Basic White Cardstock piece with coffee stamped on it is 2 1/2" x 3 1/8". You'll also need scraps of white for your greeting and the coffee cups, which were all stamped with my Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad. The word coffee was stamped off once and twice (no full ink.) Stamping off is when you stamp your image on a piece of scrap before your project. With your Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker, colour the solid coffee cup stamp, breath (huff) onto the stamp, and stamp onto your mugs.

Using the Label Me Fancy Punch, punch out your greeting and set it aside. 

After you've stamped your mugs and coffee words, head to your Cut & Emboss Machine. Emboss the coffee words with your Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and cut out the coffee cups. 

For assembly, glue the DSP to the Early Espresso layer. Glue the coffee words piece to the bottom centre of the front of the DSP. Leave some space from the bottom - I had about the same space as the sides. Slide the two 5" strips of Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim into the left slot off the greeting and bring it out of the right one. Line up the ribbons to where you want them and tape them down. Attach this piece to the card front. With Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the 3 coffee mugs and stamp the steam directly onto the DSP. (I don't do this before attaching the mugs to make sure they line up okay.) I also stamped a mug outline (with Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad) on the inside of my card to add that extra touch. 

When you attach the strip for the gift card, make sure you use a strong adhesive like Tear & Tape or Stampin' Seal+. Keep the adhesive within about 3/8" on each edge of the strip. Place it on the left inside of the card about 1/2" and abut 1 1/2" from the bottom. If you have any questions, I'm always happy to help.

Sweet Ice Cream Class Aug/Sept 2021

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back to my blog. Apologies for being away for a couple weeks, I was sick. (Nothing serious but it left me with little energy for anything else.) 

As fall sneaks up on us, I'm offering a fun summer class through the September long weekend.

To try and accommodate everyone's needs, I'll be offering this class in person and online. 

Here's the scoop (oh my gosh, pun unintended) - if you want to attend in person, message me with a date and time that works. All in person classes are private - so it's just you or you and your bubble to keep things safe. You must be double vaccinated or wear a mask for the duration of the class (2 hours.) The classes are being held outside in the backyard gazebo. There is no public access to the house at this time. Whether you attend in person or online, you'll get twelve 6" x 6" of the coveted Ice Cream Corner DSP, which is no longer available to buy, for FREE.

If you prefer you can attend online, via private YouTube Links, at your convenience. You'll need to have the Sweet Ice Cream Set and the Ice Cream Builder Punch, inks and adhesives. This class is designed for the casual to avid stamper. 

For $25, you'll get the instruction to complete four fun folds, featuring this adorable stamp set. You'll also get card kits which include everything: cardstock, DSP, die cuts, embellishments & envelopes. (You still need the stamp set, punch, inks and adhesives.)

Tidings of Christmas Stamp Camp Info

Hi and welcome to my blog!

I'm excited to invite you to attend The Silver Sister's Stamp Camp! It will be happening on Sunday, September 12th, from 10:00 - 3:00. This will be a LIVE Zoom Event. PDFs will be sent to participants after the event so if you're off camping, working, etc - not to worry. You can create everything later and at your own speed. And I'm always here to answer any questions. This camp is centred around the gorgeous Tidings of Christmas Suite order item 155720. 

Who are we? The Silver Sister's are 3 experienced Canadian Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who have a few, mostly carefully hidden, silver hairs. We've been friends for years and combining our talents and styles will give you a fun and entertaining day. 

What will we be doing? Each of us will be presenting a standard card, a fun fold and an alternative creation. That a total of 9 projects! 

What do I get? In addition to accessing the 9 projects and the Zoom class, you'll get the card kits and PDFs. With Option 1, you'll also get to choose a FREE stamp set, set of dies or DSP from the Sale-a-bration (SAB) Catalogue! For Option 2, you can certainly add a little something to your order to score a FREE SAB item too.

What do I need? You'll need the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set, the Christmas Trimmings Dies along with your Cut & Emboss Machine*, Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, ink pads and adhesives. The colours of ink we'll be using are: Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Misty Moonlight. If you don't have all those colours, you can always substitute. 

What does it cost?  Option 1: Includes Tidings of Christmas Suite, the Live Zoom Stamp Camp with 9 projects, door prizes and the PDFs for 140, including shipping and taxes.
