Merry Christmas!

Hello and Merry Christmas!

I hope you're having a fabulous holiday. Thank you so much for your support and friendship over the past year. It mean a lot to me.

This card came to be as a thank you for Gavin, of The Music Exchange, in Kona, Hawaii. When I was there last month he showed me so much patience, humour and aloha. It took me 2 days to finally decided which one to buy. I now have a stunning Big Island Koa Ukulele. As I was finishing the card, I remembered I already gave him a thank you card when I was there. Oops. Plan B, this card is also PERFECT for my ukulele instructor. I missed seeing her before Christmas so a thank you card is just right.

Start with a card base of Whisper White Cardstock, measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". This stunning Designer Series Paper (DSP), and just about everything but the Snowman, comes from the new Tropical Oasis Suite. All items in green come from that suite. Trim a piece of the Tropical Oasis DSP to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". From the centre of this piece, cut out the largest oval from the Layering Ovals Dies. From the centre of this oval, cut or punch out about a 1" circle for his Aloha shirt. You'll also need a 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" piece and some scraps of Whisper White and a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" piece of Old Olive Cardstock. Emboss your piece of Old Olive with the Coast Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

Stamp the snowman, from the Snowman Season Stamp Set in Memento Ink on a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out with the largest oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Colour the tree with the Light Old Olive Blends, the scarf with the Dark Real Red Blends and the nose with the Dark Pumpkin Pie Blends. Put a tiny amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on each of the snowflakes and sprinkle some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter onto the wet glue. Set this aside to dry.

Stamp the greeting, from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set, with your Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad onto a little scrap of Whisper White. I just used my paper trimmer to make it the size I wanted, which is 1 1/2" x just shy of 3/4".

Cut out the two halves of the shirt from the circle of DSP. (Tip: I made a template from Whisper White first. Once I was happy with it, I trimmed the DSP to match. Although it may not show up in the photo, I did include a tiny collar on the shirt.) When the snowflakes are dry, attach the shirt with  Multipurpose Liquid Glue. It will give you a moment to reposition it if you don't get it right the first time.

Attach the rectangular piece of DSP to the card front with your Snail. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, attach the Old Olive to the piece of Whisper White. Then attach this piece to the card front with your liquid glue. With your Snail, attach the snowman to the DSP oval. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the oval to the card.

Trim a 2 1/2" piece of the Braided Burlap Trim. Unravel the ends (about 1/2" on each side.) Use some liquid glue to it to attach it to the card front. Attach your greeting with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. (Tip: Trim them to little slivers to go only at the top and bottom of the greeting, rather than trying to have them stick to the burlap trim.)

Finally, attach the adorable ukulele embellishment to the snowman, with 2 Mini Glue Dots. And you are done!

I'm SO excited for Sale-A-Bration! (Which starts Jan 3rd.) When you become a Member, by join my team, you'll get a FREE Mini Paper Trimmer, a FREE 6x6 Designer Series Paper Sample Pack and a FREE stamp set of your choice.* This is all in addition the getting $165 worth of product of your choice for only $135. Seashore Stampers December Blog Hop

Hello Fabulous Blog Hoppers!

Welcome to our last blog hop of the year. Today we're going to celebrate the New Year, 2020 (so also a new decade.) The lunar new year, which starts on the 25th of January, is The Year of the Rat. Much to the chagrin of certain friends and family, I've always had a thing for wee rodents. And I was born in in the year of the rat. So clearly my New Year's card had to feature this adorable creature.

In the Chinese culture, Red symbolizes happiness and good fortune while Gold symbolizes wealth. There are very auspicious colours.

This card comes from a fabulous new stamp set, Special Someone, featured in our new Mini Catalogue (formerly known as the Occasions Catalogue.) It is a two-step stamp set and that process is way easier than it sounds. If you're a perfectionist like me, you can use the Stampartatus and not worry about having to line up the stamps. On a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp the mouse/rat in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then stamp its body with the Sahara Sand Classic Stampin Pad. It's nose was coloured with the Light Petal Pink Blends. With the smallest square in the Stitched Shapes Dies, cut out the mouse. Set it aside while you prepare the rest of the card.

Our card base is from Real Red Cardstock and measures 4 1/4" x 8 1/2". It's scored at 4 1/4" to create a square card. The Whisper White piece measures 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" and the Gold Foil Sheet is    3 1/4" x 3 1/4". The Gold Foil was embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Over the past year, this embossing folder has become one of my all time favourites.

The plum blossoms were done in Petal Pink Cardstock using the new Small Bloom Punch. This is a Sale-A-Bration item, which means it cannot be purchased at this time, only earned with a qualifying purchase, starting January 3rd. Since we didn't have a suitable greeting, I did mine on the computer.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, attach the Gold to the Whisper White. Next attach this piece to the card front with the same glue. The mouse/rat was, greeting and plum blossoms were all attached with Mini Dimensionals. In the centre of each blossom I added a Gold Faceted Gem.

Be sure to come back on Christmas Day for my last blog of the year. Wishing you and your family the Happiest of New Year's. May 2020 be filled with good health, happiness and hope.

Cheers,
Adrienne

My Last Christmas Card for 2019

Hello all,

It's crunch time. Miraculously I got my 2 Christmas boxes, set for two different provinces, out in the mail this week. I did, however, discover a forgotten present on the wrapping table this morning. What to do? It's artisanal fudge and is just a stocking stuffer. It's not as though they know it evens exists. What am I even thinking? Of course, I'll pop it in the mail. *sigh*

Since we're all up to our armpits, I selected a SUPER easy card. It comes from the Brightly Gleaming Suite. (Suites are amazing because just about everything you need is right there. No decisions about which paper matches and which ribbon to use. Don't get me wrong, I love me some complicated cards using several different stamp sets, etc, but now is the time for efficiency.) Like my previous post, it too was featured in my Christmas Card Buffet. Since it's an all-you-can-make buffet, the designs and assembly have to be fairly straightforward.

Start with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Night of Navy Cardstock, scored in the middle at the 4 1/4" mark, plus a 3/4" x 3 3/4" scrap. You'll also need some Very Vanilla Cardstock for the ornaments and the oval "window." Trim a piece of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP to 5" x 3 3/4". Cut a piece of the 1/2" Classic Weave Ribbon to 5".

On scraps of Very Vanilla, stamp one of the ornaments, from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set with Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad and the other with Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' Pad. Punch them both out with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack. With your cut & emboss machine, cut out your largest oval from the Stitches Shapes Dies.

For assembly, attach the Night of Navy scrap to the front of the card, you can used your Snail for this. Place your ribbon over it and with regular cello tape, tape it to down on the back of the DSP. Attach the Very Vanilla oval with your Snail. Put the ornaments on with Stampin' Dimensionals. (Tip: If you want them to overlap, they way mine do don't put a Dimensional under the overlapping spot of the small ornament.) With you Multipurpose Liquid Glue, attach the card front to the card. That was easy!

The Clearance Rack has been updated. Items are while supplies last. Simply click HERE to go shopping. Our current Host Code can be found to the right of this post, underneath the image of the catalogue. Please use it on orders under $200.

Be sure to come back this Saturday for the Seashore Stampers Monthly Blog Hop.

Cheers and Happy Christmas,
Adrienne

Deer Plaid, I will miss you!

Hello all,

This week, meet one of the cards I designed for my recent card buffet. In this class, participants had 7 different Christmas cards to choose from and they could make as many as they wanted. The quantity made ranged from 12-16 cards made, including a first timer.

For this card, your base is Whisper White Cardstock, measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". The second layer measures 4" x 5 1/4". This layer was run through my cut & emboss machine using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folders, one of my favourites. The 3" x 3" square of Designer Series Paper comes from the Wrapped in Plaid collection. The Gold Glimmer Paper deer used the Detailed Deer dies. The greeting, stamped with the Gold Glitz Delicata Ink, is from the Dashing Deer stamp set. This pigment ink can take a moment to dry. Gold Foil was used under the greeting. I used a 1 3/4" & 2" Circular Punch.

Now to assembly, attach the embossed piece of Whisper White, to your card base, with your Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Attach the DSP to the front of this, again using your liquid glue. The deer is attached with Mini Dimensionals. I used the liquid glue to attach the greeting to the Gold Foil Sheets, and then Dimensionals to attach the greeting to the card.

This lovely deer stamp set and coordinating dies are retiring this year so be sure to order it before year end. (Order items 151362 and 147915.) Also, I am sad to say, the stunning Wrapped in Plaid DSP won't be reappearing next year. It doesn't show up in the photo but this specialty DSP has gold foil accents on one side of every sheet. (It's order number 149596.) Deer Plaid, I will miss you both.

Mini Curvy Keepsake Box

Hello all,

This week I'm going to show you the ridiculously adorable new mini curvy keepsake box.

For those who've been around a while, you may remember the larger version of this. You had to cut  two pieces and then assemble it. The new mini box is one die, one run through the cutting machine and only one 6x6 piece of paper. It's SO easy to assemble. Order item 150644. In addition to the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Die, you get 5 little tag dies (good for year round), 2 snowflake dies, and 2 little bough dies. On mine, I used one of the greetings from the Itty Bitty Christmas (150513).

With this box, you could create and entire Advent Calendar, you could put treats or little notes in them and so much more. They make delightful stocking stuffers, table favours, little thank yous and hostess gifts. And he could even totally put an engagement ring in there - just sayin'.

BREAKING NEWS: Today we've started our Year end Clearance Sale! Some of the Holiday Catalogue are on sale 10-50% off. Click on the button to go shopping.
