Some Bunny Loves You - Fable Friends

Hello and welcome!

I created this card for a demonstrator challenge. We had to use a set we haven't used before and create Valentine's Day card with it. I chose the Fable Friends and created my Some Bunny Loves You card.

#valentinesforall2019

I bought the Fable Friends set because it reminded me of my childhood and the delightful Beatrix Potter books I used to read. Although it's a spring/Easter set, I see it as very versatile and plan to use it for births, birthdays and thank yous through out the year.

Using a Whisper White base, I added Blushing Bride as my next layer. It was embossed with the amazing new Lace embossing folder. This embossing folder is quickly becoming one of my all time favourites. Pro-tip: When attaching anything you have embossed, I recommend using Multipurpose Liquid Glue as other adhesives may not work as well. The next layer, measuring 3 1/8" X 4 3/8",  is from the Floral Romance DSP. The bunny was stamped in black Memento ink. It was cut out with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits (an absolute must have.) My bunny was coloured with the Stampin' Blends. Pro-tip: use the fine tip of the dark black to darken the eyes. This makes them stand out a bit more. All the lettering and pennants from the Pick A Pennant bundle. Pro-tip: Cut out a colour layer, in this case, Blushing Bride, with the pennant die, to go underneath the Whisper White. Offsetting it adds dimension and interest. Again, use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue as it gives you a moment to adjust it before adhering. Sadly, the bottom banner (outline & stamp) comes from the now retired Number of Years & Large Numbers sets. This was an error on my part as I don't normally use retired items on cards I display. The good news is we do have several similar dies which would do the job.

Seashore Stampers January Blog

Hello wonderful followers, those who have just stopped by, and my dedicated lurkers (one day you'll commit, I just know it),

Welcome to the Seashore Stampers January Blog Hop!

January is wrapping up and this only means one thing. (Well, one thing other than those already failed resolutions that we shouldn't be beating ourselves up over.) It means, Valentine's Day is just around the corner! The day of love! Love, the many-splendored thing, comes in a variety of shapes, sizes and flavours.

Valentine's Day is wonderful for those who have happy, loving relationships. For all others, it can be a reminder of loneliness and loss. It can bring on feelings of sadness and rejection.

Everyone is worthy of love.

Between now and Valentine's Day, I challenge you to make at least one Valentine's Day card and to ACTUALLY give that card to someone who needs a little light in their life. Think outside your circle of friends. Think of people you might not normally think about... your postman, your barista, the homeless man you see on the corner. Post a picture of your card on social media using this hashtag:

#valentinesforall2019

If you need any help getting started, please contact me.

So far, I have created a couple different cards for Valentine's Day. For the first card, I focused on keeping it simple. Other than a punch, no special equipment was required. The second card is fairly easy too - in fact, there is no actual stamping. If you want any info on the supplies or techniques required, just contact me.

Remember, between now until March 31st, it is SALE-A-BRATION. This means for EVERY 60 dollars you spend,* you can select a FREE ITEM from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue, including some amazing Stamp Sets! If you join my incredible team, with absolutely no further obligation, there are even more incredible deals to be had.

My shop is here.

Thank you again for stopping by. Happy Valentine's Day!

Cheers,
Adrienne
